Pork Chops and Apples (My favorite)

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops

  • 4 tablespoons of grass-fed butter. You can add some olive oil so the butter doesn’t burn

  • 1 cup of chicken bone broth

  • 2 Apples cored and cut into slices

  • 1 large Yellow onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves of garlic, pressed or minced

Directions:

Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Season the pork chops with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Melt 2 tablespoons of the grass-fed butter. Add in the pork chops and sear them for about six minutes on each side and until browned. Remove them from the pan and reduce the heat to low. Be careful not to burn the butter.

Add the other 2 tablespoons of butter and add the onion and the apple slices. Cook them for about three minutes or until the onions have caramelized and the apples are soft. Put the apples and onions on top of your pork chops and serve them over some bitter greens. This is one of my favorite fall meals.
